Terra Vio
Disaster site? No
Atmos’s Worst Disaster Site? Still No
Alternate World?
Yes
Its still hard to believe that a rookie technical team combined with a very consequential test of Terra Vio’s Fusion Reactor Plant would create a huge shockwave of anomalous energy that would wipe all but a few S.T.A.L.K.E.R.S and pave way to the creation of what is known to few as ‘The Zone’.
Sitting on my perch over watching the distant orange Sunset over the Jagged Rock Walls designed to contain ‘The Zone’ I give way to the urge to tell you my story, of how a Terra became a death-zone, how a species were wiped from the face of Atmos…
And how I became what I am.
I can still see it now, me, 6 years old sitting on my bed reading a book on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. History, little did I know that in a few short hours that book’s history would be re-written. 11pm, the last time I would see my family, my home, myself as a ‘Normal’ S.T.A.L.K.E.R. if you can call a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. normal Being because at the stroke of the 11th hour I opened my eyes to see the bright red light igniting from the Fusion Reactor Power Plant, staring with a deadly curiosity I opened my window to be greeted with a foul burst of heat and pins and needles all over my body, I did not know much about Radiation yet I knew that it was not something that saved lives. As I closed the window I saw the shockwave approaching…
Wiping the tears from my Eyes I decide to spare you the grisly details of my families death and the destruction of everything I held dear. So I tell you what happened next.
After scouring around I returned to my home, and created the Black Armour I wear and the Bladerang I carry. Hunting Mutants, surviving Radiation and trying harder to close in on my mission of ‘Destroying The Zone’ the challenges I face everyday would be horrendous against a Cyclonian Talon or Sky Knight.
And the Future? Hah, well that’s not for me to really decide. Will ‘The Zone’ disappear and pave way to a spring of hope and fruitfulness among ‘The Zone’s irradiated grounds? Or will Mutants rule the day and allow ‘The Zone’ to live for another decade? Either way it makes no difference, nothing large will happen over the next few years, and nothing will change. But there is something, something deep inside me, a hope.
A hope that ‘The Zone’ will be destroyed and that peace will be forged on Terra Vio.
And the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.S? There all dead. Or so I thought, over the years I’ve gathered numerous although sketchy Intelligence revealing that there may be some Surviving S.T.A.L.K.E.R.S taking refuge in the nearby Terras.
And maybe, just maybe I will find a person who truly understands me. Maybe there’s someone out there for everyone, eh?
I doubt it.
Somebody takes a look at me when I visit the neighbouring Terras and immediately shrink in fear or walk away quickly, love takes no hold in my mind, there will be no one out there.
And this is how I came to be, I don’t expect you to care.
I just expect you to understand.
