Name: Raven Crows
Motto: none at this time
Age: 3 years
Founder: the old dean from the Talon academy
Insignia: Cyclonian Talon
Ship: The Nightingale(AKA flying junk heap, or flying death trap or The wrek) is a small, very old Cyclonian cargo ship that was (with much effort) transformed into a battleship. It has a small outside observation deck that is completely rusted over and looks as if it would just fall off the ship at any givein moment. Its engines are about 50 year out of dates and its navigational tools are about 70 to 80 years out of date. The main hull is about the only thing on the ship that looks new, it's paint job is a midnight blue, with the Talon insignia on the rudder and the ship’s name written on the back engines of the ship. The rooms in the ship are surprisingly large for the ships size especially the crew's sleeping quarters. Each have full size beds with enough room for dressers, and trunks. Is mainly because the large cargo hold was turned in to some of the living space of the ship. In the bridge there is a hammock, used primarily by the ship’s pilot, when he is to tired/lazy to drag himself back to his room. The Nightingale also has a brig for any captives that the Raven Crow’s might have (it normally used when Danna had a bit to much and Rain and Borkah don’t want to deal with him.)
Weapons: The Nightingale’s main weapons (if they are working) are the standard canons found on any Cyclonian ship and can be used offensively or defensively. The canons are for the most part the ship’s only weapons besides the crew’s own personally weapons.
Positions:
Rain- leader, navigator and tactician. All together Rain is the brains behind the squadron, she is the one that administers what is happing on the ship, decide how they get to a terra and if they are attacked or attacking what they do in battle. She has final say on pretty much anything that happens on board The Nightingale.
Borkah- mechanic, cannoneer and chef. He is the one that keeps their junk heap of a ship in the air and in some kind of working order (which is easier said then done). Not long after being a squadron he found out that Rain and Danna could not cook by any stretch of the imagtion, so he was made the cook. During battle Rain is to busy giving orders and Danna is to busy flying the ship, this leaves him the only one to man the canons.
Danna-pilot, medic and sharpshooter. The only reason Danna has any of theses jobs is that he is the only one with the most experience with them. Being around ships all his life makes him the best suited for flying; and don’t let no one kid you he’s one of the best pilots around, he has gotten the crew out of some very sticky situations. His skills as an herbalist make him ironically a fairly good medic as well. Mean wail when he’s not flying, he is one heck of a good shot too.
Finance: paid by Cyclonia
Base of operations: Terra Cyclonia
Territory: namely Cyclonian controlled air space but will venture out to Sky knight territory if a mission requires such.
Pets: Rain’s cat Kit-kit to which he stays locked in Rain’s quarters by demand of both Danna and Borkah. The cat hates them and they aren’t to fond of it either.
Fears: the ship falling out of the sky, and having the canons fail in the heat of battle.
Goals: to see all of Atmos under Cyclonia’s rule.
Priorities: completing missions, getting back home in one piece.
Hobbies: depends on the crewmember.
Flaws: young, naïve and do not all ways get along with one another.
Peculiarities: their all non- native Cyclonians that could be commanders’ one day.
Loyalty: Cyclonia and to each other.
Brief History: After each found their way into Cyclonia they started lessons at the academy, all thou they where literally one classroom away from each other their paths did not cross. The dean did not believe that ‘outsiders’ made good Talons and so the three had to work even harder then the others just to stay in the academy, but that did not stop them from making high marks in their individual fields and saving the academy from near ruin.
A few years before the Stormhawk shut down the institution permanently, there was another such attempt made by a lesser unknown Squadron that beyond epicly failed. The three ‘outsiders’ found out about the under cover scheme and foiled it, aging with out even meting each other all as the dean’s favorite students hid under their beds. Needless to say the three received some long deserved reconnection and the interest of some highly influential people.
It was only after gradation and assigned to a squadron did the three meet. This is also the time they got The Nightingale in their possession. Which was sadly a ‘gift’ from the dean himself, for his ‘gratitude’ for their help.
After a year as a squadron they are soon recognized by the high command and as of right now they are being groomed to one day be commanders themselves, but that is only if they survive the hard and grueling training.
