Name: Keskel Vikasal
Species: Human from Terra Razgriz
Sex: Male
Age: 20
Eyes: Storm Blue (20/10 vision)
Height: 6'0''
Body: Keskel has a very lean, wiry build. He has long brown hair, which he wears tied back in a ponytail, in homage to Starling. His features are rather sharp, and his customary smile is wolflish. His skin is tanned and a bit weathered by all the flying he does. A number of scars mark his torso and limbs from accidents in live blade training, but none are truly distinctive.
Style: He wears a dark blue and grey jumpsuit with light armor over it, protecting his forearms, shoulders, shins, and vitals. A stripe of purple fabric is worn on his collar to the left side of the clasp. His squadron crest, a tattered grey ghost with purple eyes and spitted by a blue crosshair rides on his back. He keeps his blade in collapsed form on his left hip and his pistol in a tie-down holster on his right thigh. Various useful objects hang in pouches at his belt.
Occupation: Currently working to build up a viable squadron and re-enter the name of Terra Razgriz into the rolls of Sky Knights Squadrons.
Weapon: Lightning Blade Lance. Looking very much like a single lightning blade when collapsed, the weapon's handle may be extended into a shaft to create a polearm. This weapon is powered by a hanzo crystal, giving it a purple glow and white blasts. Keskel has used this weapon to perfect the 'Wraith Strike', a deceptive spinning combination that can strike with blast, blade, or bludgeoning from unexpected angles and ranges. He also keeps a pistol of his friend's design as backup. Looking like a small-cylindered revolver, the gun contains three mid-grade firebolt crystals, letting the other crystals recharge after use, letting it be used in sustained slow fire or rapid three-round burst.
Vehicle: Slip-Wing Fighter Ultra Tri-Barrel Custom. Of similar design to the standard Slip-Wing Fighter Ultra, it retains the highly-tuned engines and near-complete lack of armor, granting it extraordinary speed, acceleration, climb speed, roll, pitch, and yaw at the expense of performance in a dive, ability to take punishment, and stability, especially in rough weather. The primary differences from the standard model is the replacement of the single crystal launcher cannon with a tri-barrel energy arrangement for rapid-fire, and the addition of a pair of hardpoints on the upper wings for mounting a 'Geist' air-to-air missile each, along with the crystal-based targeting and tracking system required to use them. The Slip-Wing is painted in squadron mottled gray and blue with purple trim.
He flies off the Kestrel (See squadron description)
Personality: Originally a very angry teenager who chafed under Cyclonian rule of his home Terra, Keskel has been changed by the events that lead to him founding the Razgriz Ghosts. Keskel was and is an adrenaline junkie who lives for speed, flying, and combat. Before he indulged these cravings as a self-destructive behavior, hoping to live fast, die young, and leave a good-looking corpse. Now he tempers his wants and needs by applying them to the cause of the Atmosian Alliance, though it would be a lie to say he doesn't want revenge. Willing and eager to take on tough missions, he is constantly pushing the edge of his Slip-Wing's envelope. Very loyal to his friends. Not one to back down, he's also rather cunning. Not exactly the smoothest guy around, though. While he's not socially incapable, he does miss things sometimes. It should also be noted that he is determined to the death to restore the name of Terra Razgriz to the rolls of the Sky Knight Squadrons.
Hobbies: When he chose his purpose in life, he was lucky enough to find one that matched with his hobbies. Keskel loves to fly and fight, and will often be found practicing to attain ever-higher levels of skill in both. Oddly enough, he also very much enjoys swimming, though he rarely gets to indulge in this pastime.
Relationships:
Father: Myn Vikasal, a vassal of the Razgriz Demons, mining foreman, and ground-to-air artillery militia member. Deceased.
Mother: Falynn Vikasal, a healer specializing in crystal medicine.
Uncle: Maikael Vikasal, mining magnate, and source of the Ghost's funding.
Best Friend: Netz Sufa. (See profile)
Romance: Numerous flings, no real serious relationships.
History: Keskel hails from Terra Razgriz, which was home in the past to the Razgriz Demons, a squadron known for it's skill at aerial gunnery, to the point where the sharpshooter of the Demons was better known than their Sky Knight. Far away from Terra Atmosia and Terra Cyclonia, lying within sight of the Barrier Cliffs, Terra Razgriz became involved in the very earliest phases of the war when a new vein of high quality unfixed crystals was discovered. It wasn't long before Cyclonia sent a force of Talons to secure the resources. The Razgriz Demons flew up to stop them, performing well against the Talons, but fell to the Dark Ace in close combat. Keskel's father was killed in the mopping-up action, and when he assaulted a group of off-duty Talons, the Cyclonians sent him to an academy they constructed during the occupation.
Razgriz was left under Cyclonian occupation for quite some time, until Starling of the Interceptors came to investigate. Her ride damaged in the dogfight that ensued, she made an emergency landing on the Terra and hid with Keskel's family. With no way to get a message off the Terra, Starling formed a resistance movement, which Keskel immediately joined, providing access to the academy's resources. In the fighting, one of the hanzo crystals powering Starling's nunchaku was shattered. Getting a new set from the grateful inhabitants of Terra Razgriz upon their liberation, she left her old one in the hands of Keskel, who by this time considered Starling to be his hero. He vowed to restore the name of Terra Razgriz to the Sky Knight Registry, and is just now setting off to do so.
